Welcome to Kathryn! Over the summer we interviewed several midwives for a new full-time position with MAMA. From among these impressive candidates, we chose Kathryn Kravetz, CNM, MSN, a graduate of the midwifery program at the University of California, San Francisco. Look for more about her in the next newsletter.
Passing the torch After 12 years, Phyllis Gorman resigned as director of midwifery in September. We are very glad that she will continue seeing patients at the Arlington and Center for Women locations, and taking call for births. Maryann Long, who has been acting director since March, was appointed director.
