Practice news
Julia Dickinson, our wonderful Yale midwifery student, finished her integration with us on April 17. She returned to New Haven to finish up her other coursework before graduation on Memorial Day weekend. We were so sorry to see her go!
Convention approaches As you learned in the Winter update, the annual convention of the American College of Nurse-Midwives is coming to Boston at the end of May! Hundreds of midwives from all over the country and world will be here for continuing education sessions, committee meetings and reunions with classmates and former colleagues. Megan MacInnes and Maryann Long are co-presenting a session on how to start up and manage an alternative insemination program (see our website www.aicgb.com for information about our AI services). Deb Gowen is doing a session on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for stress and aging with Larry Maida of Maida Pharmacy in Arlington. On Saturday, May 24, you’ll find Kathryn Kravetz Carr and Maryann Long at the Mt Auburn booth in the Women’s Health Expo. The Expo will have a huge variety of health and health-related information for women of all ages. It’s at the Hynes Convention Center, from 10 am to 4 pm. Please come and stop by the Mt Auburn booth!
