Practice news
We are delighted to welcome back Deb and Phyllis in June, after extended medical leaves.
Also in June, we’ll welcome Lisa Erhartic, our summer intern.  Lisa is a recent graduate of Ithaca College who majored in writing but finds herself drawn to midwifery.  She has completed the doula training offered by DONA.  She’s looking forward to meeting clients in the Center for Women and volunteering as a doula at some of their births.  If you are interested, please let Jackie or one of the midwives know.

Robyn, Julie and Maryann were successful at obtaining CHNA grant funding to start a postpartum nutrition and exercise program for Spanish-speaking women residing in Waltham.   The grant program was developed to address the increasing incidence of obesity in our local communities.

Our Monday morning postpartum support group has been very successful thanks to the hard work of Deb, Ann and Julie.  It continues to meet weekly, and features guest massage therapists, chiropractors, Pam the lactation consultant,


Personal news
She did it!  Robyn finished the Boston Marathon in 3:42.  Next up is the Chicago Marathon in October.

Marcia is an expectant grandmother once again.  The baby is due in late July, and the word is that this time, it’s a girl!  Marcia can’t wait to buy those really cute girl clothes.
