The Midwives at Mount Auburn offer weekend childbirth education classes approximately once a month. Debbie Fiedler, CNM is the instructor. The class covers relaxation and breathing, the process of labor and birth, emotional and physical reactions during labor, methods of coping with labor pain, labor complications, and common interventions, among other topics. Videos and a tour of the Birthplace are included. Spouses/partners are encouraged to attend.
Speciality classes for those planning a VBAC, c-section, or those who would like a refresher course are available upon inquiry. |
