Clare Storck, CNM![]() Born and raised in California, I grew up in Sonoma and graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Women's Studies and a minor in education in 1998. Taking a break from school and thinking that I might pursue a career in education later I decided to pursue a career as nanny. I had the opportunity to work in beautiful coastal towns in Southern California, Australia and Italy for a number of years. I realized along the way that my true calling was helping women give birth and taking care of them throughout their pregnancy. I then began a seven-year journey to become a midwife that took me from Venice, CA to Nashville, TN and finally here to Cambridge, MA. Along the way I trained as a birth and postpartum doula, and also became certified as a massage therapist specializing in pregnancy and postpartum massage. I pursued my MSN at Vanderbilt while working full time as a postpartum nurse. I graduated from Vanderbilt University as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in 2010 and I am excited to be joining the Midwives at Mount Auburn. When I am not taking care of women, I love to hike, practice yoga, sew, see live music, swim in the ocean and explore new restaurants. I am also attempting to improve my knitting, gardening and Spanish skills. |
