I recieved my certificate in Midwifery from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1984 and got her Master's degree from SUNY Stony brook in 1995. I started my career at Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx. I later moved to New Jersey and started a private homebirth practice. I've lived in the Boston metro area since 1988, where I continue to practice midwifery at Mount Auburn Hospital. I worked parttime while my older children were younger and fulltime since 1996.
It's impossible not to be drawn into the circle of life when attending the birth of a child. I do my best to bring this same level of personal energy to every prenatal and well woman gyn visit. I strongly support a woman's choice in childbirth and gynecological care. I also teach HypnoBirthing classes on the side.
I started the Alternative Insemination practice at our Arlington office (see www.aicgb.com for more info). I believe all woman should have access to great IUI services. I have a wonderful partner and family: four children and one step child. My children range in ages from college to preschool . In my spare time I love to garden and travel, but mostly I like to spend time with my family.
