I'm very excited to be working with the Midwives at Mount Auburn as I've always had a passion for working with women. When I graduated with my BA I thought I would eventually persue an MSW and planned to work with women with psychiatric disabilities. I was the assistant manager at a residential program for women during my first year out of college. I then spent two years working at a fabulous daytime drop-in for homeless women. I also spent the past five years volunteering on a sexual health hotline. It was while working with women in crisis that I realized what should've been obvious for so long, that I want to work in women's health, specifically as a midwife. I was at a different hospital in an administrative role before finding this position with the Midwives.
I'm currently taking prerequisites on the weekends to someday be able to apply for a nursing program. When I'm not at work, I'm at the gym, with friends, or plotting ways to escape the New England winter with my husband.
